STULZ SpA guarantees that its products are free from quality defects.

The products are not consumer goods and are designated exclusively for use in the industrial and professional sectors.

Guarantee Period: 12 months from the date of start-up/maximum 18 months from the date of shipment by Stulz SpA of all the unit components.

Guarantee validity conditions:

1) Circuits which do not require cooling powers greater than the power indicated on the name -plate;

2) Full compliance with the regulations included in the operating and maintenance manual;

3) Documented proof by the customer concerning due and proper performance of preventive maintenance carried out by adequately trained personnel.

Conditions which invalidate guarantee:

1) Alteration or modification of the units structure or circuits;

2) Introduction of gases into the refrigeration circuit that differ, in terms of quantity or type, from what is specified on the name -plate;

3) Unit operation in environments with acid or corrosive atmosphere;

4) Installation of products in the presence of vibrations, movements and temperatures that exceed name-plate values.

"Guarantee also ceases in installations where the quantity/flow rate of fluids, both for the condensing unit and for the evaporating unit, cannot be ensured and demonstrated. In case of pitting or corrosion, the customer must test the purity of air or water fluids used by the cooling system ".

"Instructions given by the manufacturer concerning product operation and characteristics, for products destined for special uses, meaning uses different from the standard application, for which no experience from specific applications yet exists, such as uses requested by the customer and for which the customer has not paid for research, development and testing, are merely indicative and are not binding for the manufacturer. Spare parts for products with special codes and which are not included in the sales catalogue must be purchased together with the product since the manufacturer does not guarantee prompt availability of these spare parts in case of need."

Guarantee conditions:

For every part found, in its final opinion, to be defective during the guarantee period, STULZ SpA shall proceed with repair or replacement of the components found to be defective without any charge, doing this at its own factories or in duly authorized businesses. STULZ SpA will not refund any costs which may arise concerning removal, handling and installation. Service calls requested of Stulz SpA by the customer and to be performed at the customer?s premises, even during the guarantee period, shall be billed according to Stulz SpA fee rates in force at the time the request for service is placed. Repair or replacement of products shall not modify, for guarantee purposes, the start and termination times of guarantee. Stulz SpA gives a six-month guarantee on components that have been replaced and on the work performed during the repairs.

3) Return of Stulz / Cosmotec product to Stulz SpA

Delivery of returns to Stulz SpA must be authorized in advance by assigning a return authorization code to be stated on the shipping document.

The return authorization code is to be requested from Stulz SpA exclusively by direct customers using, in case of units to repair or modify, the ?Technical Service Request? form, or, in case of units to return for credit, replacement, examination purpose (units which go back to being the property of Stulz SpA) the "Sendback Request" form.

Remember that:

· Shipping costs for return and re-delivery of the material are paid for by the customer unless otherwise agreed. Stulz SpA will not accept to pay shipping costs for shipments performed by customers carriage forward with shippers with whom it does not have agreements. In these cases Stulz SpA will not collect the material being returned.

· Materials must be returned with shipping documents that carry the return authorization code. When using carriers who perform collections using delivery notes the shipping document must be inserted in the packaging or attached thereon.

· The goods receiving warehouse will not accept materials that lack the "return authorization code" stated on the shipping document.

· Returns for credits against mistaken orders or failure by the customer to sell are subject to an economic deduction to cover the inspection, preparation and administrative costs sustained by Stulz SpA. These can vary in function of the condition in which the goods are returned. The minimum deduction is equal to 15% of the value of the goods.

· Stulz SpA shall charge the customer 50 Euros as a cost for inspecting units returned for repairs not covered by the guarantee in case of refusal of the repair cost estimate. When requested by the customer Stulz SpA shall scrap the unrepaired return at a charge of 25 Euros. When it receives this request Stulz SpA will send the customer a scrapping authorization form that the customer must filled in, sign and return.

4) Request for spare parts for Stulz / Cosmotec units. Stulz SpA sells spare parts exclusively to its own direct customers, Dealers and Authorized Service Centers, applying the agreed sales terms. The costs for shipping spare parts are to be paid by the applicant.

The applicant for spare parts must state the model, serial number and production date of the defective unit and a brief description of the components being requested.
